Why I’ve Been So Busy Lately (And Why I Wouldn’t Change a Thing)

If you’ve seen me going through wasntead with happy pups although most likely sitting in traffic! you might be wondering—why is Una so busy lately?
Well, the short answer is: I’ve never felt more inspired. The long answer? Let me tell you what’s been going on.
🐾 Walkies with Una Is Growing (Thanks to You!)
Our dog walking service is busy, and I’m so grateful. More local dog owners are trusting us with their beloved companions, and we take that responsibility seriously. Every walk is tailored—whether it’s a gentle solo stroll for a nervous rescue or a playful group adventure for the social butterflies. I’ve been filling new slots, meeting new dogs, and making sure each one gets the care, attention, and joy they deserve. Taking on two more team members, means that we can offer more dogs that extra special care that we are known for.
🎉 Dog Shows, Fundraisers & Community Fun
I’ve also been pouring my heart into events that bring our community together. The Wanstead Festival Dog Show was a great success—we raised £450 for the Waltham Forest Pet Food Bank and celebrated every dog’s individuality with fun, inclusive classes. Seeing tails wag and people smile reminded me why I do this.
💛 Partnering with Dogs On The Streets
One of the most meaningful parts of my recent work has been teaming up with Dogs On The Streets, a UK charity supporting dogs owned by people experiencing homelessness. I’ve helped collect supplies, raise awareness, and share their incredible mission with my clients and followers. These dogs deserve love, dignity, and care—and I’m proud to play a small part in that. Myself and Tracey will be visiting the kennels to train their staff on handling and training techinques. Looking at enrichment for the dogs.
I do hope that you will join in with our Halloween online dog show raising funds for this amazing cause, https://fb.me/e/6XiO8LVdm
✏️ Creative Sparks & Community Messages
Behind the scenes, I’ve been writing newsletters, making videos, training our team and dreaming up new ways to connect with our community. I want every message to reflect the warmth and trust that Walkies with Una stands for. Whether it’s a reminder to book a walk or a celebration of a fundraising milestone, I want people to feel part of something special.
So yes—I’ve been busy. But it’s the kind of busy that fills your heart and fuels your purpose. I’m building a business rooted in care, connection, and community. And I’m so thankful to everyone who’s walked beside me—two-legged and four.
If you’d like to join the journey, book a walk, training, get involved with a show, or just say hello. There’s always room for more paws on the path.
With love and soon to be very muddy boots,
Una and the team🐾
